Bugs
幽幽鹿鸣/Yoyoluming
What a soaking rain.
It started around 3:30 in the afternoon, three hours later the thunder is still drumming across the sky.
I begin to worry about the bugs that have been attacking, stealing, marathon eating my flowers, vegetables, and plants daily. How I had wished that they would be all gone in a second, how I had wished that they would eat something poisonous and all dropped dead under the blue sky.
But for some reason I begin to worry about them today. It’s getting dark outside; it’s getting wet and soaked everywhere. Even the annoying mosquitoes will have to go hungry tonight since no one is going out to give them the chance.
Don’t know where the birds are, but toads and tree frogs are out.
The world sometimes is a strange place because it is filled with all kinds of strange beings. We don’t pay too much attention to bugs because we think they are insignificant.
But who is not insignificant in this vast universe? Aren’t we humans bugs after all in the deep woods of the unknown?
